Who Are We?
We're happy you asked. To Raise a Village is a non-profit organization that serves as consultants to care workers and care worker companies as well as advocates for care workers, families, and communities. We understand the passion of parents and their desire to ensure their children have quality childcare while they progress in their careers. We also understand the burdens placed upon childcare workers that make it difficult for them to truly express their passion of service.

Thus, we provide consultant education to help child care workers and companies run more efficiently, reduce cost, reduce stress, and maintain their passion for childcare for longer. Through our light the torch and pass the torch program, we specialize in lighting the passion of childcare and equipping childcare providers with the knowledge to carry the torch themselves
We also advocate for better access to childcare and better resources so parents aren't overly burdened with the costs and lack of access. We plan and carryout demonstrations that aim to put pressure on government officials and leaders to make decisions that benefit our families and communities. We welcome the public to join us on this journey because the work that must me done, cannot be done alone.

The Movie
To Raise A Village film will center the authentic lived experience and revolutionary rise of protagonist, BriTanya Brown, a young black mother in rural Texas, who despite all odds, embodies the theory of change that states, in order to raise a village, you must first raise the visionary. On this journey of personal and professional development, the film aims to uplift a shift in public narrative around care work in the United States of America that dually amplifies the grassroots leadership of BIPOC & Latina women. Unveiling the true cost of care work and making the workforce behind the workforce visible, follow a soul-scorched moment-in-the-life of a childcare provider leading a nationwide revolution on the heels of heartache with high hopes to build towards the village it takes to truly raise a child.
